A friend from my woodworking group called me when a Dogwood tree was knocked down by another tree. He knew I turned and thought I may like it. We had NO idea!  The further down the tree we cut, the more amazing and varied color we saw. This is from the base, which was about 2" below ground level. The wood was not only spalted, it had some critters; borer beetles... something no woodworker ever wants to hear. They got into some other stock so it all got tossed outside before they decided to dine on our house. But, I was determined not to lose this wood to bugs. I bagged it and tossed in in my freezer for 5 months. I took it out last month and got to work on it today. |

A Note About Prices
As an artist, I should not be afraid to display the price of an item in my gallery. The items I have available for sale clearly list the price rather than burdening the buyer with an annoying "inquire" in place of the price. Once a piece is sold I will move it to my Portfolio.
As a collector of art, I find it extremely annoying that I have to wade through fancy flash "galleries" only to find out that I need to contact the artist to find out if a piece is available and what the price is.
What about custom orders?
Q: I really like the design of one Trufful™ but I'd like a different color or wood. Can I request a custom made Trufful™?
A: Art is very personal, and no two pieces of wood are the same. There is no guarantee that, after filling your order, you would be happy with the piece. I want you to be delighted with your Trufful™ so, while I will not accept custom orders, I will happily take all suggestions for designs.
